Difference between diffuse reflection and retro reflection photoelectric sensor

2018-11-12

Diffuse reflection photoelectric sensor:

The diffuse reflectance photoelectric sensor is that the transmitter and receiver are integrated, and the receiver can not receive the light emitted by the transmitter under normal circumstances. When the detecting object passes through, it blocks the light and reflects the light part back. The receiver receives the light signal and outputs a switch control signal.

Characteristics of diffuse reflection photoelectric sensor

> No need for alignment on installation and use.

>Saving installation and use space

>Installation and wiring is simple.

> large detection area.

For example: Heeyi sensors ZL-D50 series photoelectric sensor.

Retro reflection photoelectric sensor:
Retro reflection photoelectric sensor is a photoelectric sensor which integrates transmitter and receiver in the same device. A reflector is installed in front of the sensor, and the photoelectric control function is completed by using the reflection principle. Normally, the light emitted by the transmitter is reflected back by the reflector and received by the receiver. Once the light path is blocked by the detected object, the light signal detected by the receiver changes, the photoelectric sensor acts and outputs a switch control signal.

Characteristics of retro reflection photoelectric sensor:

> Easy to light alignment when installed and used.

> Compared with the retro photoelectric sensor, save installation and use space.

> Installation and wiring is simple.

> Free from affected objects, colors and materials.

Finally, the detection distance of retro reflection photoelectric sensor is different from that of diffuse-reflection photoelectric sensor. The detection distance of retro-reflection photoelectric sensor is farther. If want to detect the transparent object, please the retro reflection photoelectric sensor.

For example: Heeyi sensors ZL-R20 series photoelectric sensor.
